The 13.55 Istabraq festival Hurdle at Leopardstown is going to be an interesting affair with a the talented Thousand Stars a warm favourite – but I feel siding with the unexposed and well weighted Unaccompanied is a wise move.
His form is strong – having finished a close second behind the highly regarded Champion hurdle contender Zarkander – and beating Grandouet in the same race. On that form the 10 lbs he recieves from Thousand Stars should be enough.

He looks the improving type who will perform similarly to his last win like today.
and off a mark of 159 really looks the solid option for brilliant trainer Dermot Weld. Paul Townend gets the leg up again which can only be a positive, with the horse handling the ground also.

odds of 7/2 are luring.

The 14.15 Handicap Hurdle at Limerick  
is an extremely nice looking affair and a horse who is on the up is Cloughmile.

He has the similar form of these over the bigger obstacles - winning last time out and looking like a nice prospect when doing so.the fact that Young jockey Mark Bowes takes a lovely amount of weight off him - He is a jockey who is well worth his claim. He also has won on Heavy ground which is another positive.

Michael Hourigans stable is a shrewd one which has backed this horse into 3's from 5's which is a massive bonus..

Each Way Selection Of The Day: 

The 13.25 Mares Hurdle at Leiopardstown is a typical Irish open looking race but I like the each way chances of Oilily. 

Magens Star is an obvious danger given he is the same mark as his last win but our selection is savagely low in weight here and has the form in his locker to have a say here. 

 

He raced a career best when just touched off at the Aintree festival and despite a poor run in the Galway plate can get involved here if willing again. 

The stables good form is another positive
