Nap Of The Day

The 15.35 Handicap Hurdle at Leopardstown
is an extremely hot looking affair and a horse who may just have too much at the finish here is Alfa Beat.

The  horse had a terrific 2011 - Winning a second Kerry National and declaring himself as a live contender for the Aintree Grand national in the future. The one problem here is that he has  really struggled in the past over hurdles, however with the appropriate market check he could well pop up

Shark Hanlon is banging in the Winners of late and Alfa Beat can only benefit for this. He is also 41 lbs lower than his highest chase mark and this is Barry Geraghtys only ride of the day.

Available at a nice 6/1 with Paddy Power.

Next Best Bet Of The Day:

The 13.55 Handicap Chase at Leopardstown
is an tricky looking handicap but a horse who is in top form is Lukes Benefit .

Denis Hogan has been terrific with this horse - both as a trainer and as a jockey. The horse was a slow burner but with the right control has really found his rhythm of late, winning twice and never looking in danger on both occasions. His revised figure looks feasible and should hold form with Senior Again and Uncle Tom Cobley.

Denis Hogan's horses are running well of late and Lukes Benefit can only benefit for this.

Available at a nice 7/2 with Paddy Power.

Each Way Selection Of The Day:

The 15.05 Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown is an open looking race but I like the each way chances of Sea Of Thunder.
The few ahead of him in the betting are of obvious interest especially Boston Bob but our selection I feel is terribly overpriced. The booking of Philip Enright is a positive also given his irrepressible form.
In a similar contest at Cheltenham Sea Of Thunder had it all wrapped up and cruised into the lead 3 out, only to fall unluckily when going away from the field. Deireadh Re was left in the lead and won - a horse to whom Paul Nicholls thinks highly of. A repeat of this form will see him firmly on the premises

Odds of 8/1 are luring

Pic: If Sea Of thunder can stay on his feet, he will take all the beating
