Nap of the Day:
Tomorrow is not the strongest days of horse racing by any stretch of the imagination, however Pontefract has a very interesting 6 furlong handicap at 16.30. Many of the horses here have showed glimmers of form like the old great Dickie La Davoir who in all probabilities is a big e/w price at 12/1, However I like the look of MY KINGDOM at 7/1 to just hold off the talented Klynch. Trainer Dandy Nicholls is the sprint king and with his son on board should at least come close having his tongue tie reapplied and off a very winnable mark. Jack My Boy could also run a big price at tasty 20/1 odds.
Second best tip of the day:
Roscommon throws up a decent jumps card tomorrow also with an extremely interesting 3 mile handicap running at seven o clock. The consistent and talented ALFA BEAT is my selection, with the booking of legendary jockey Barry Geraghty a major positive. The horse is on something of a retrieval mission after running poor of late. However he should win at 9/4 if he can return to his earlier form of last September when taking a valuable chase in Listowel, when steered home by Geraghty. Well forth at 16's could be a big player also!
Outsider of the day:
Gulf Punch in uttoxeter at 20.50 has been extremely disappointing since taking 3 juveniles last term, However I still believe she has a lot of ability and runs in this open race of a very low weight/mark. she may not show up but if she does she could seriously surprise the market favourites at a nice 16/1 price. The booking of the red hot Jimmy Derham is a positive also.
