Race By Race Tips : twitter: @dermonolan91

(NEW ) Spotlight Race: Betfair Chase 15.05 Haydock

Its great to finally see Long Run back after his amazing season last year and despite him being favourite I really fel that he wont be ready for this, just like he wasn't last year when going down to Little Josh in the paddy power gold cup. So if he flops where does the value lie? I really like Weird Al and I just feel his run at weatherby was only a sign of things to come and if Long Run is not one hundred per cent I would have Him to pounce. Another option is King Kauto Star, who lets face it is not far from retiring but he owes his connections and the sport absolutely nothing! He has been tuned up for this race and this could well be his Gold Cup and horses like Kauto Often have a race in them and this could be his farewell party from heaven! The others such as Diamond Harry and Time for Rupert will come on for they're first run but I just feel the three mentioned will be the man three in this contest!

Nap of the Day:

The 13.35 Handicap Steeplechase at Punchestown is a competitive race and whilst there are a few exciting types I'm leaning towards the classy and yet inconsistent OnTheWayOut. As I mentioned the horse is terribly hit and miss but he is the class act here an loves the venue having won here easily before. 3/1 is a luring price in the grand scheme of things with the brilliant Tom Doyle on board for the outstanding trainer John Kiely who should have another big year!

Pic Top:
OnTheWayOut has a leading chance!!

Next Best Bet of the day

The 12.25 Novices Hurdle at Ascot is an open race but I really like the look of Bowntobebad here!. The horse is no stranger to the winners enclosure and has shaped through his whole career as a stayer and has been screaming out for this distance (dam from same same gene as grand national winner comly or die). Mush Mir is a talented horse ad will take a lot of beating but if it goes quick and it comes down to raw staying our selection will come out on top I feel! 9/2 is a fantastic price for him with the brilliant Noel Fehily on board.

Bowntobebad could improve to win this!

E/W Bet of the day

.
In the 13.30 Handicap Hurdle at Ascot I will take a tentative each way chance with Emmas Legend !She ran with credit in 10th behind Decoy last time out who is a very decent horse on his day and now I feel back amongst her own sex she will be on the premises with her stable in flying form and a brilliant jockey booking in Grand National hero Liam Treadwell and odds of 10/1 really do seem massive.

DermoTipping favourite Liam Treadwell can be in the winning enclosure again!
