Punchestown Day 2

What a day yesterday was - with 4 out off my selections winning and winning well. Quevega confirmed my confidence and that she is indeed te best mare3 we have ever seen over jumps. I just hope she gets the chance to one day take on big bucks - but I doubt it. Today is a nice card and lets hope for some luck!

 Nap Of The Day

Oscara Dara could be the class act here
The 18.40 Novice hurdle at Punchestown is a lively looking contest ,but a horse who may just get be the quality today is the Oscara Dara . Hopefully it will be six nap wins in six days.

The horse has been an improver all year winning well on his debut and then running well behind Darlan at Aintree - he is Nicky Hendersons only runner today and should smash home. He has won on good to soft so it is not out of the question for him to win on heavy.

The brilliant Barry Geraghty takes the ride which is only a brilliant thing for our selections chances..

Odds of 5/2 Seem nice

Next Best Bet Of The Day:

Lughnasa could pop up today again
Lughnasa in the 19.10 Mares National hunt at Punchestown has been trained just for today and with the trainer having won this last year, he has every chance of following up. .

Robert Tyner is one of the top trainers in Ireland and always seems to pop up at these meetings and this year should be no different. She won so well at Cork first time out and looked a class apart in similar ground and with the second following up with a respectable run last week he should be good enough for today - even against the Mullins horse!
Robert Tyner has booked a promising amateur for this and they could be celbrating again!

 Odds of 3/1 are generous

Each Way Bet Of The Day:

Lucky william (yellow) could well pop up again
Lucky William in the 16.55 Novice Chase at Punchestown has been a rapid improver and despite going up in class has a ,assive chance today. .

He won brilliantly at Fairyhouse when giving weight all around him and if he manages to run to that level again he should be bang on for today - especially because he acts on the ground and that is something that cannot be guaranteed with these. He may just have the improvement in him to be competing at this level. He should at least be in a place.

Barry Geraghty could well have a top day and Lucky william will answer to his urgings!
Odds of 6/1 are generous
