A smashing race in prospect and anytime Sizing Europe is running you have to take notice -  but one of the best horses of last season runs here again today and in my humble opinion First Lieutenant is the one to follow.

He didn't get enough credit for his year last year - second at the festival after giving Bobs Worth one hell of a race in the Hennessy gold cup, he then lifted the coveted Aintree Bowl before finally finishing his season a respectable 3rd in the Punchestown Gold Cup.

He will have no issues with ground on his last run and should enjoy this race and whilst he will need to step forward from his last run - it is good to note that he went into this race last year with no run under his belt.

He will be with the capable hands of Davy Russell and will not be far away

Wayne Hutchinson could be celebrating again

A tricky handicap to get things going at Ascot but with every single horse having negatives and positives - so it may side to pay with the promising Irish recruit Dance Floor King..

This race is next to impossible to give a confident vote in - but our selection definitely has the potential to make his presence felt. He has enjoyed himself on this kind of ground before and despite a poor run last time he should improve. He ran some brilliant races in Ireland travelling brilliantly off the pace -  but the last day he went from the front and that just would not suit him.

If he is on a going day he can make his presence felt and in my opinion is over priced at 14/1.

Wayne Hutchinson is in top form and will have our selection in the right place.
