We have one of the best horses we've had in First Lieutenant who deserves a big win and possibly an aging sensation in Tidal Bay (aimed at grand national) but I think this is Lyreen Legends big day and after a very good run behind Bobs worth today could be a big chance . |
Last year he was so unlucky in the RSA chase. Bryan Cooper chased Bostons Bob and had the beating of him and when Bostons Bob came asunder at the last fence and Lord Windermere sweeped by to claim the tired Lyreen Legend.
He has had a stop-start campaign and I believe it was a massive run behind bobs worth in the Lexus - he finished so well in fourth after being a good bit behind and I placed him in my notebook immediately after that brilliant race.
I feel First Lieutenant is a super horse, having been placed in so many top races including winning the Aintree bowl but the ground will be too heavy, Tidal Bay in my opinion is being trained towards a grand national and Lyreen Legend is being trained just for today and that will count for a lot.
Barry Geraghty is a massive booking and Dessie Hughes will have this likable sort ready
