Nap of the Day:
One of the most beautiful racecourses gets its festival off tomorrow, I'm talking about Galway of course! Despite its beauty it is a hard place to make money! Dermot Weld is extremely successful in the first two days of Galway always (two winners on day one last year and three the previous year) so its no surprise my nap of the day is going to one of his horses! NATURAL HIGH in the 18.45 Amateur Riders Handicap should be too good for his rivals! He
won his last start in Limerick upsetting the consistent Jack Cool and should really go one better tomorrow. Robbie McNamara takes the ride and in my opinion is the best amateur jockey in Ireland If not England as well! 7/2 is a very backable price!

Next Best Bet of the dayA Trainer in brilliant form is John Kiely and CARLINGFORD LOUGH in the 17.35 Handicap Hurdle has a massive chance. He got off the mark in terrific style downing an 8/15 favourite in Roscommon under Mark Walsh who retains the ride after accompanying him to his previous victory. J.P McManus only buys good horses and he should also be good This is an open race and he is weighted to take the promising De Senecuate and could win well! 10/1 is a big price considering.

E/W Bet of the day!!FOSTERS CROSS is big value each way in the 18.45 Amateur Riders Handicap at 14/1. He's been running at a higher level than this and 14/1 is a big price considering his last run where he was a close 4th at this distance behind Gimlis Rock. Another positive is the fact that he will definitely stay and if his young jockey rides him properly he could well get up and win. Tony Mullins is a very good horseman and will have him in form.
