Brilliant Sunday Of Irish Racing...

Not exactly a brilliant first day back for the blog - with the nap in second and several other near misses one can only hope for a better second day - thankfully Ballyoliver did collect at 8/1 so all was not lost - heres to a better day.

1 Win Stocktons Wing 12.35 Fairyhouse 11/4

Nap Of The Day

Oscars Business could pop up here
The  14.05 Mares handicap at Fairyhouse is a intriguing looking handicap, but a mare who may just have found her form again and is a nice sort is Oscars Business.

She looked as if she was going to have a big year last year, winning two races at this time last year - but seemed to fade out afterwards. However on her reappearance she finished a decent second to the talented Banjaxed Girl - so she seems to be back on form and is on a nice mark here in this handicap.

She hails from the shrewd Robert Tyner yard and the booking of the excellent Andrew Lynch is very appealing

Next Best Bet Of The Day:

Minsk could well be too quick here
The 13.05 Royal bond Novice hurdle at Fairyhouse is a tasty looking affair, but a horse who may be overpriced is the talented Minsk.

He was a very decent flat horse and even popped up to win the Irish Cesarewitch when with John Oxx - he won his maiden hurdle in devastating fashion and really is as good as these in my opinion and could well have too good a turn a foot for this very competetive race!

The talented Bryan Cooper came close to winning the Hennesy Gold Cup yesterday with first Lieutenant yesterday and may come close again - if not one better and win.

Each Way Bet Of The Day:

Spot The Boss could surprise here
Spot The Boss in the 15.10 Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse culd surprise a few here - and with his trainer reknowned for big priced winners it could well happen.

His trainer is known for doing well with a small stable - winning the Aintree bowl with 50/1 Follow The Plan and Whatuthink beating Voler La Vedette recently also - he clearly knows how to ready a horse. Spot The boss has been running some solid races of late - this may be a solid each way alternative to the favourites.

Every horse in this race has questions to answer and it may just pay to side with a bigger priced horse and our selection is sure to stay.
Robbie Colgan is another positive and this hard working jockey will give you a run for your money..
